Vehicle performs adequately and safely prepared

Your vehicle must be in good working condition with no mechanical problems.  

Your steering should tight and free of any play.  

Your brakes should be in good working order.  

You should have at least half your brake pads left, and your brake fluid should be clean and brake reservoir full of fluid.

Check to be sure your brake lights work. 

Torque your lug nuts to factory specs.  

Check your oil, coolant, and transmission fluid.
