Safely re-entering the track after going off

If a driver spins or runs off track, they first assess their self and gain their bearings, then check gauges and other indicators to assess the car. The driver looks out over the  hood and in rearview mirrors to see if there any signs of smoke, etc indicating car is unsafe to return to track.

If within site of a corner station, they wait for clear communication from the corner worker about how to proceed and when an opening in traffic will allow them to safely re-enter the track, then proceed offline until they can exit the track to report to the black flag station to have the car further assessed before continuing the session.

If not within view of a corner station driver looks as far possible back up track to locate approaching drivers and enters the track in the safest manner while getting offline as much as possible to avoid getting debris or possible leaking fluids on the driving line. They then proceed offline to the black flag station to have the vehicle further assessed before continuing the session.

If vehicle is inoperable, remain in the vehicle with helmet and all safety equipment on until a corner worker or emergency vehicle arrives. If there is any indication the car is on fire, exit the vehicle immediately and safely and quickly get behind a tire wall or other safety barrier.
